Apply for a GREEN Scholarship
and transfer to SIUC
Up to $9,000
undergraduate scholarships (divided equally between fall
and spring semesters) will be awarded to low income
Community College Transfer Students of at least
junior standing who are US citizens and have a 3.0
(A=4.0) cumulative GPA. Applicants must pursue a major in
Science and/or Engineering at Southern Illinois
University Carbondale related to the environment. Prior
to transferring, applicants must have completed 56
semester hours with appropriate science prerequisites
(contact your academic advisor for specifics). Selection
is based on academic achievement, environmental
interests, career goals and aspirations, leadership
experience, and financial need.
For consideration,
applicants must submit the Green Scholarship
application
and be admitted into SIUC by March 15, 2010. Applicants
should submit transcripts and two letters of
recommendation along with their application. To maintain
the scholarship, recipients must be a full-time SIUC
student, complete coursework on schedule, maintain a 3.0
GPA, and remain a science or engineering major.
